We have recently moved up to a place near Leeds and it is true that new homes build confidence in an area.
Before we moved up, several new apartment blocks had sprung up, and this in turn had encouraged new local businesses to start up such as bars and clothes shops.
Along with the local bakery, night club, bars and restaurants, the only thing we need now is a nice gym with a swimming pool, and then we will have everything in a three mile stretch of where we live. I am also hoping for a really great hairdressers to come along.

The best anti pigeon cure
Whilst holidaying recently we had a terrible problem with pigeons all over our challet.
The only anti pigeon cure we could find was in the local store, who only had a limited supply of the product – so we had to use it sparingley.
The noise in the morning on the first few days was unbearable, they were cooing constantly – and pigeons are not the most attractive of creatures!
We bought this product which was like a smelly candle which stopped the pigeons coming to close, as they didn’t like the smell. The soon set up camp just across on the other challet roof opporsite though, so we could still hear the noise.

The best mini highland games edinburgh
We have recently come back from the best mini highland games edinburgh has to offer.
It was fantastic, there were loads of categories, and there were people of all ages competiting. They even had a mini caper throwing competition for the kids – and some of the weaker adults!
Everyone who had come to watch the games was offered the chance to join in the welly wanging compeititon at the end of the day as well, which was great fun- my friend came second, and won a fresh haggis to take home with her – it stunk the car out all the way back to the hotel.

Medium light complexion make-up
Like many men, I’m not particularly good at choosing the right gift when my wife’s birthday comes around. No matter how hard I try, I never seem to get it right, and although she’s always grateful for the effort, I can tell each time that it didn’t quite hit the right spot.
My sister helped me choose some cosmetics, because they both have a medium light complexion. I’m genuinely hoping that this year, more than any other, I have finally got it right. Next Thursday is the big day, so we’ll see how much she likes it.
